I have been asked many a question over the years, about anything and everything wedding related. So I thought I would put together a list of the frequently asked questions. But if there is anything at all, that is not covered here that you would like to know, please don't hesitate to drop me a line via the contact page and ask away.

Q. Whats the best way to contact you?

ANSWER

Q. Can you tailor a wedding package to suit our needs?

ANSWER

I offer set packages on the wedding packages page, but I am always happy to tailor a package to your requirements. Please drop me an email via the contact page for a bespoke quote.

Q. Where do we meet to discuss our big day?

ANSWER

One of the best ways for you to get a feel for if I am right to be a part of your big day, is to meet up and have a good chat about all your exciting wedding plans. I am always very happy to come to you, or you are very welcome to come to me at home, to have a chat and a more detailed look through my printed product range. Including example fine-art albums and other beautiful products.

Q. How do we book you for our wedding?

ANSWER

If you are ready to go ahead and secure the booking; to do this I require a deposit of £200.00 to secure the date, accompanied by your booking form and signed contract. The rest of your balance is then due anytime up to 14 days before your wedding date.

Q. When is the final balance due by?

ANSWER

The final balance is due by 14 days before your wedding date.

Q. Can I add additional coverage to our package?

ANSWER

The packages I offer are full day coverage, which covers the bridal preparations through to the first dance, and usually about half an hour after. This gives me the opportunity to tell the complete story of your wedding day. If you would like further coverage into the evening, this is charged at £125 an hour, which is inclusive also of the editing time.

Q. Are there any travel costs?

ANSWER

Travel cost’s are included in the price for weddings which are within an hour and a half’s car travel from Eastbourne, East Sussex. If you are having your wedding outside of this range, then drop me an email and I would be very happy to provide you a quote for the travel expense outside of this area.

Q. Will our photos be watermarked?

ANSWER

You will receive your photos in high resolution and watermark free. Allowing you to use your photos freely and print on your own accord, if you so wish. The photos in your online gallery will be watermarked to protect them from unauthorised use. Officially the copyright over the photos is in the name of Matthew Page Photography, but the only exceptions to your usage rights are that you can't sell your images.

Q. How long does it take to process our images?

ANSWER

I aim to have your photos all processed and edited for you within around 4 weeks. If it is at a particularly busy time, this may be slightly longer. I will provide you with an accurate estimation when it is close to the time of your wedding. If you have chosen to have an album, you will first receive your photos on your photo disc and online gallery. Then after I receive your choices of photos for your album, you will then receive your album in approximately 4-6 weeks.

Q. Do you offer albums and other products?

ANSWER

I certainly do. I am very proud to offer stunning Fine-Art albums by Folio Albums. I also offer a whole range of other products. If you would like to see some of these; including example albums, then please drop me a line as I would love to arrange a meeting where you can see them in the flesh.

Q. Do you work alone at the wedding?

ANSWER

Most of the weddings I cover I work alone, which for me works very well; allowing me to blend in and capture the real moments un-noticed. If you do require a second photographer, I can offer this for an additional £250 for the day.

Q. If we change our wedding date, will we incur any costs?

ANSWER

If you do need to change your wedding date and transfer your booking with me, this would be no problem and you will not incur any cost if the date you require to transfer to is available. What I would recommend is; if for whatever reason your existing date is no longer going to happen, then get in contact and I would be happy to confirm which date’s I have available.

Q. What if it rains on our wedding day?

ANSWER

At our meeting together at the venue(s) around a month before the big day, we will have a really good opportunity to look at all of the photo locations the venue(s) has to offer. So we can at this stage look at a backup option, that way we are prepared should we bet met with any tricky weather on the day. But if it is to rain not too fiercely, I always say (if you are on board) lets embrace it! :-) A bit of rain and a bride and groom under the umbrella can be very romantic and charming. :-)

Q. Can friends and family view the images and buy prints?

ANSWER

Part of every package that I offer, you will receive your photos in your own password protected online gallery. Through this page you, your friends and family can all login to see your wedding photos and if they so wish, can purchase prints and other products directly through the system, which will then be despatched directly to them.

Q. Have you photographed a wedding at my venue before?

ANSWER

I have photographed a large number of venues in the Sussex, Kent and Surrey area, which I would be very happy to confirm for you either way. But it is not a problem if I have not covered your venue, as I will always make plans to visit your venue with you around a month before your big day, for a good look around and to discuss all of your favourite places for photos and all of the finer details.

Q. Do you offer any discounts for out of season or mid-week weddings?

ANSWER

I am always willing to offer my best rate for out of season weddings and mid-week weddings. Out of season is considered October to the end of March (excluding Christmas) and mid-week is considered Monday to Thursday’s. Please contact me for a bespoke quote.

Q. What happens if you become ill and are unable to cover our wedding?

ANSWER

It has never happened before and it would have to be something very serious to stop me, but In the event of anything going wrong, I have a network of photographer friends who I would call upon to step in.

Q. Are you insured?

ANSWER

Yes, I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
